BIOGRAFÍA DE LLOYD BRIDGES

Lloyd Vernet Bridges (San Leandro, California 15 de enero de 1913 - Los Angeles, California, 10 de marzo de 1998) fue un actor norteamericano; protagonizo muchas series de television y actuo en mas de 150 peliculas.

Biografia
Lloyd nacio en San Leandro, California, hijo de Lloyd Vernet Bridges señor, quien estaba envuelto en negocios del hotel California y un era dueño de un cine y Harryet Evelyn Brown. Lloyd se graduo de la Universida Eureka en 1931. Despues estudio ciencias politicas en la UCLA, donde conocio a su futura esposa, Dorothy Dean Simpson; con la cual se caso en 1939 en la playa de San Peter.

Carrera
Bridges hizo su debut en Broadway en 1939 en una produccion de Otelo de Shakespeare. En 1950 fue admitido en el Comite de Actividades In-Americanas, un grupo comunista. Despues su trabajo fue limpiado por el FBI, transformandose asi en una gran estrella en la television.

Bridges gano una gran reputacion como Mike Nelson, la estrella de television de la serie Sea Hunt. Despues se transformo en el conductor de El show de Lloyd Bridges, que incluia apariciones de sus hijos Beau y Jeff. Le ofrecieron despues el rol de Capitan Kirk tras que se fuera William Shatner. Ademas fue un miembro regular del elenco de la serie The Loner, en La Segunda NBC falla del aeropuerto de San Francisco y Joe Forrester.

Ademas tuvo papeles importantes en mini series de television, como las que se listan abajo.

Vida personal
Bridges siempre estuvo en la polemica del medio ambiente, debido a que se inscribio a la asociacion de los Oceanos Americanos y ayuda a las Bahias. Murio por causas naturales el 10 de marzo de 1998 con 85 años de edad, siendo padre de los actores Jeff Bridges y Beau Bridges y el abuelo de Jordan Bridges.
